Matador Engineering, Inc. was founded by two mechanical engineers with over 35+ years of combined experience specializing in the execution and management of building system commissioning and HVAC testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) projects. Our shared experience was always closely tied to MEP design consulting as every firm we have been a part of in our career had both an MEP design and commissioning/engineering field services division. This dynamic makes us uniquely qualified in understanding how a building’s design and theoretical performance on paper translates to its actual performance after it is built and occupied.
Matador Engineering was developed not only with the intent of being a provider of building system commissioning and consulting services, but also as a provider of owner training services. We developed this as an answer to an industry need in an area that we often observed to be deficient in quality and also at the core of many of the issues experienced by building occupants and facilities/maintenance staff once the building was turned over.
